Pictures from the Send-off Party

Since most everyone reading this blog was at this party, I’ll put a minimum of description and captions. If anyone depicted here would rather not be, or would like to be tagged as such, leave a comment on this post.

And after everyone else left, Wryen, Leighton, Steph and I played a game of Tichu. Steph and I were first to 500 and first to 1000. Highlight of the night was when W. and L. were set to go 1-2 with L. having called Tichu early, but I had the Mah Jong and led with a 9-straight with a wish for an Ace. Because he could, Wryen was legally required to play an Ace-high 9-straight built using a straight-flush bomb and a Phoenix. Upon seeing them stripped of all their best cards, Steph proceeded to call Tichu and got it, setting Leighton in the process. And thus, we pulled ourselves out of a 250-point hole and straight into the lead. I wish I had a picture of that trick.
